The San Francisco 49ers are set to face off against the Baltimore Ravens in a Christmas special on Monday Night at Levi’s Stadium, with kickoff set for 5:15 P.M.

However, they’ll be doing so without some key players, as the 49ers ruled out defensive tackle Arik Armstead due to foot and knee injuries.

Armstead did not practice at all this week and head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that the foot injury is similar to the issue that the defensive tackle faced last season.

Are the 49ers concerned that the injury could be long-term?

“Yes, we’re concerned. We do think he has a chance each week, but I’d say it’s a little more the foot than the knee, something that’s bothering for a little bit. I’m just hoping the pain will go down,” head coach Kyle Shanahan said ahead of the Ravens game.

Additionally, the 49ers ruled out Jauan Jennings (concussion protocol), Oren Burks (knee), and Ross Dwelley (ankle).

According to Shanahan, Jennings has made progress through the concussion protocol this week, but there isn’t enough time for the receiver to be fully cleared before Monday’s game, hence why he was ruled out.

Elsewhere, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (hamstring) and running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) are questionable for Monday’s game.

Hargrave and Mitchell have both been limited in both Friday and Saturday’s practice after missing Thursday.
